Procedure Concrete slump test


























the test carried out using metal mould in shape of conical frustum known slump cone or abrams cone, open @ both ends , has attached handles. tool typically has internal diameter of 100 millimetres (3.9 in) @ top , of 200 millimetres (7.9 in) @ bottom height of 305 millimetres (12.0 in).the cone placed on hard non-absorbent surface. cone filled fresh concrete in 3 stages. each time, each layer tamped 25 times 2 ft (600 mm)-long bullet-nosed metal rod measuring 5/8 in (16 mm) in diameter. @ end of third stage, concrete struck off flush top of mould. mould lifted vertically upwards, not disturb concrete cone.
