the city of ivano-frankivsk has extensive network of public transport including buses, trolleybuses, , taxis. there 9 trolleybus routes , 52 regular buses. of routes run beyond city nearby villages.

railway transportation

there 1 railway terminal serves ivano-frankivsk train station. there smaller rail stations in adjacent villages, including uhryniv , khryplyn. of them part of lviv railways.

bus transportation

until 2008, railway terminal housed bus terminal provided several inter-city bus routes, including international destinations. in 2000, construction began on new bus terminal next railway terminus on zaliznychna street. inauguration of new bus terminal took place on 22 may 2010. @ opening ceremony mayor of city, viktor anushkevichus, noted new bus terminal partially completed, , period necessary offload passengers @ pryvokzalna square, saturated traffic. emphasised need bus station on outskirts of city.

the city served ivano-frankivsk international airport, granted international status in 1992. airport shares facilities 114 brigade of ukrainian air force. since 2002 airport has been leased private enterprise company yavson, , 2005 public limited company naftokhimik prykarpattia, (subsidiary of ukrnafta). contract naftokhimik prykarpattia expires in 2013.

both city , oblast administrations regional council located in massive white building on hrushevsky street locally known bily dim or bily budynok. in front of building big open space bordered shpytalna street on north-east, hrushevsky street on south-east, , melnychuk street on south-west. next building located memorial unification of western ukraine rest of ukraine. main feature of memorial tall marble stele, on both sides of located statues: kamenyar (west) , kobzar (east).
