st. peter s episcopal church, 107 state street. richard upjohn , son designed church completed in 1860, congregation founded in 1704. in french gothic revival style , considered 1 of best churches. remains of lord howe interred under vestibule; british lord buried in united states. listed on register in 1972 , designated nhl 8 years later.

delaware , hudson railroad company building, broadway , state street. used headquarters of state university of new york, downtown albany s best-known building. copy of 13th-century flemish gothic cloth hall in ypres, belgium, built in 1913 local architect marcus f. gilbert.
old post office, broadway , state street. renaissance revival design of 1883 post office less expensive substitute larger structure planned before land turned out far more expensive expected.
first trust company building, broadway , state. 1902 gilbert building in classic beaux arts style.
st. mary s church, 10 lodge street. when built in 1869 nichols , brown, third building house city s oldest catholic church application of romanesque revival. upon completion of 175-foot (53 m) tower in 1890s became first albany church electric lighting.
united traction company building, broadway , columbia. 1902 beaux arts gilbert building serves focal point going down columbia street.
van ostrande–radliff house oldest building in albany, added register in 2008.

kenmore hotel, columbia , north pearl street. demolition or redevelopment of other hotels, edward ogden-designed 1873 building, renovated 13 years later, 1 of downtown s 19th-century hotels remaining intact. has been office building since 1986.
national state bank building, 60 state street. classical revival temple of finance designed york , sawyer in 1901.
r.b. wing building, 384 broadway. local architect walter van guysling s dutch colonial revival building brought style district in 1913.
albany masonic temple, oldest continuously owned masonic property in united states.
james t. foley united states courthouse, 445 broadway, built 1931-1934 in art deco style.
