through roh s working relationship new japan pro wrestling, briscoes made njpw debut on january 4, 2016, @ wrestle kingdom 10 in tokyo dome, teamed toru yano defeat bullet club (bad luck fale, tama tonga , yujiro takahashi) become inaugural never openweight 6-man tag team champions. through affiliation yano, briscoes became part of chaos stable. 3 made first successful title defense following day against bullet club trio of fale, matt jackson , nick jackson. on february 11 @ new beginning in osaka, briscoes , yano lost never openweight 6-man tag team championship fale, tonga , takahashi in second defense. briscoes , yano regained title 3 days later @ new beginning in niigata. on february 20 @ honor rising: japan 2016, briscoes , yano lost title elite (kenny omega, matt jackson , nick jackson).


the briscoes returned njpw on june 19 @ dominion 6.19 in osaka-jo hall, defeated guerrillas of destiny (tama tonga , tanga loa) win iwgp tag team championship. made first successful title defense on august 14 against bullet club team of hangman page , yujiro takahashi. on september 22 @ destruction in hiroshima, briscoe brothers defeated reigning iwgp junior heavyweight tag team champions young bucks second successful title defense. on october 10 @ king of pro-wrestling, lost title tonga , loa.
