bradley dealt tough blow in season opener as, fourth consecutive season, braves suffered injury key player. senior guard dodie dodson broke 2 bones in forearm in bradley s home opener against idaho state. bradley won game, 74–69, lost dodson season. in memorable opening games, creighton hung tough @ number 21 dayton, lost down stretch 70–60. bluejays led 46–41 @ half , within 3 points 2 minutes left play. jake kelly made debut indiana state, scoring 16 in 88–58 win on nebraska-kerney. kelly transferred indiana state iowa closer home after death of mother.
