route 25 begins @ trumpet interchange i-495 , i-195 in wareham, massachusetts; 2 left lanes of route 25 west mainline onto route 495 north, right-hand lane serving i-195 via exit 1. i-195, route 25 east accessible via exit 22a; i-195 terminates @ interchange. interstate 495 terminates @ junction route 25; 2 southbound lanes of i-495 default onto route 25 east. after interchange i-195 , i-495, route 25 begins head in southeastern direction town of wareham six-lane freeway. route passes under tihonet road , through maple swamp, located @ northern end of parker mills pond.

after tihonet road overpass, route continues on southeastern projection, passing close several farms , cranberry bogs in wareham. after passing under charge pond road, route 25 enters densely populated region of wareham alignment parallel route 28 (cranberry highway). eastbound route 25 has first interchange maple springs road, local road connects 6 , route 28 , used access wareham , village of onset. shortly after interchange, numbered exit 2 (formerly exit 1), route 25 proceeds across agawam mill pond via short causeway. exit 2 off route 25 west located east of agawam mill pond , connects 6 , route 28 via glen charlie road, unnumbered route serves village of white island shores.

after exit 3, route 25 designation continues 0.6 miles (1 km). six-lane freeway narrows four-lane undivided highway shortly before approach ramps bourne bridge. route 25 concurrent route 28 exit 3 until 6 underpass, @ point route 25 designation officially ends; 2 eastbound lanes of route 25 continue route 28 south on bourne bridge , cape cod canal , onto cape cod. route 28 continues southward town of falmouth , eastward hyannis , orleans. estimated daily average of on 35,000 motorists utilized route 25 expressway in 2008.
