attack attack! american metalcore band columbus, ohio, formed in 2007 caleb shomo keyboardist in 2008, synth player , programmer when 14, of influences contributed bands electronic sounds, , started doing lead clean , unclean vocals on october 19, 2009 when former vocalist nick barham left group. shomo features clean vocals on tracks 1 5 , 17 , 18 of deluxe release of self titled attack attack! in 2008 signed rise records , released debut album someday came on november 11. peaked on billboard 200 @ number 193.

in late 2009, announced self-titled album , released on june 8, 2010. peaked @ number 26 on billboard 200, selling more 15,000 copies in first week. in november next year, band announced third album titled means war. released on january 17, 2012. has since become band s successful album, debuting , peaking @ number 9 on billboard 200, selling more 17,000 copies in first week.

despite bands growing success, caleb shomo left band later year due clinical depression had been dealing since middle school. had been causing him have suicidal tendencies, , struggle eating disorders, self-image problems , various substance abuse , addictions past year. despite this, left band on terms rest of band supporting decision. band officially disbanded in may same year.

beartooth (2012–present)

caleb shomo began writing beartooth songs while still in attack attack! different musical outlet . shomo has said band started joke band members of ticket home, way make fun, punk-rock, hardcore, wild music, play crazy shows , have time without pressure anything. band called noise, switched beartooth upon realization name taken.

on june 7, 2013, shomo announced beartooth signed red bull records. beartooth released debut ep sick free on website on july 26, 2013. on may 13, 2014 band s facebook page announced release date debut album, disgusting, june 10, 2014, along track listing. band released first single of album same day, titled beaten in lips , along music video. album available stream online day before release.

on 3rd june 2016, beartooth released album titled aggressive , headlining track of album posing same name. in interview kerrang! magazine, shomo stated felt album had happier outlook previous album, disgusting. being said, still cites there parts of album refer constant battle faces clinical depression, , mentions shown in song find way. songs aggressive, loser, hated , dead, released prior album being released.

along announcement of beartooth after departing attack attack!, announced in 2012 started making electronic music under name class. in interview altpress expressed had loved electronic music , had been creating such music since before joined attack attack!. self-released ep consisting of 4 tracks on january 2, 2013. since release project has remained inactive, when asked responded ...i m ready go full-force that. few of deals re working on addressing whole thing.
