on 1 july 2011, georgiev signed two-year contract fc tiraspol following successful trial period club. became first choice goalkeeper. georgiev made league debut in 1–0 away loss against olimpia bălţi on 23 july 2011.

on 9 january 2013, georgiev signed one-year contract extension, keeping him @ tiraspol until 2014. on 26 may, georgiev led tiraspol out captain in 2013 moldovan cup final, won 6–4 after penalties against veris drăgăneşti. played important role in penalty shootout held after teams remained tied 2–2 after time, making 2 saves.
