the september 2004 failure of shavit resulted in destruction of $100 million ofeq 6 spy satellite. israel used indian polar satellite launch vehicle in subsequent launch tecsar sar satellite, while upgrading shavit launcher. on upgraded shavit 2, follow-up ofeq 7 launched on shavit rocket in 2007.
