on 19 january 1918, locomotive no. 1010 hauling express passenger train derailed when ran landslip obstructing line @ little salkeld, cumberland. 7 people killed , 46 injured.
on 10 july 1933, locomotive no. 1010 hauling express passenger train in side-long collision freight train @ little salkeld due signalman s error. 1 person killed , 30 injured, 1 seriously.
on 12 april 1947, locomotive no. 1004 hauling passenger train derailed near keighley, yorkshire when bridge collapsed under it.
on 21 april 1952, locomotive no. 41040 1 of 2 hauling passenger train derailed @ blea moor loops, west riding of yorkshire when defective brake hanger on locomotive cause set of points move under train.
