biography
early life

camillo laurenti born in monte porzio catone, , studied @ pontifical gregorian university in rome, obtained doctorates in philosophy , in theology. attended capranica college well. laurenti ordained priesthood on 7 june 1884, , became official of sacred congregation propagation of faith on following 1 september.

whilst serving professor of philosophy @ pontifical urbanian athenaeum de propaganda fide (1892–1908), raised rank of privy chamberlain supernumerary on 3 august 1889. laurenti returned roman curia on 20 october 1908 undersecretary of congregation propagation of faith. later named domestic prelate of holiness on 12 june 1909, , secretary of propagation of faith on 12 august 1911. secretary, served second-highest official of dicastery, successively under cardinals girolamo maria gotti, domenico serafini, , willem van rossum.
