opisthobranchs may herbivores, detritivores or carnivores. being slow, carnivores hunt sedentary prey. may eat bryozoans, cnidaria, or sponges, absorbing sponge toxin defensive purposes. opisthobranchs may maintain zooxanthellae of coral prey , use metabolic products themselves. herbivorous slugs same chloroplasts of algae eat.
