beginning in 1947, musmanno presiding judge @ einsatzgruppen trial of united states nuremberg military tribunal, held in nuremberg men charged killing more million people behind front lines, including jews, poles, , minorities. served member of court during military trials of milch , pohl. in 1961 musmanno testified prosecution witness in jerusalem in israeli trial of adolf eichmann.


in 1948 musmanno conducted interviews several people had worked closely adolf hitler in last days of world war ii. these served basis of book, ten days die (1950). these interviews filmed lost history until 2013 when copy discovered in archives of duquesne university.
