in 1974, pitroda joined wescom switching 1 of first digital switching companies. developed 580 dss switch, on 4 years. released in 1978. wescom acquired rockwell international in 1980, pitroda became vice president. during 4 decades engineer, pitroda filed scores of patents in telecommunications. latest set of patents relate mobile phone based transaction technology, both financial , non-financial, via mobile phones.
