southern sami follows principle of using majority language of particular country being used in basis orthography , has 2 separate versions: norwegian standard , swedish standard. letters enclosed in parentheses letters used in foreign words. in addition, ï [ɨ] central version of [i]. although difference indicated in dictionaries, texts not distinguish between two. collating order based on norwegian across both sides of border.
