sglt2 inhibitors called gliflozins. lead reduction in blood glucose levels. therefore, sglt2 inhibitors have potential use in treatment of type ii diabetes. gliflozins enhance glycemic control reduce body weight , systolic , diastolic blood pressure. gliflozins canagliflozin, dapagliflozin, , empagliflozin may lead euglycemic ketoacidosis. other side effects of gliflozins include increased risk of (generally mild) genital infections, such candidal vulvovaginitis.
