there thirty teams represent nicholson in bay of quinte sanctioned sports. men’s , women’s teams presently running in:

badminton
basketball
volleyball
soccer
skiing
rugby
swimming
tennis
hockey
cross country
track & field
curling
golf.

men’s baseball, women’s gymnastics , co-ed cheer leading available nicholson students. nicholson catholic college has re-constructed men s football team first time in several decades.

to date, nicholson teams have won on 130 bay of quinte championships 50 c.o.s.s.a. championships. @ provincial level, nicholson’s athletic teams have captured numerous o.f.s.a.a. medals including: 3 gold, 2 silver , 2 bronze in gymnastics; 1 silver , 1 bronze in swimming; , 4 gold, 2 silver , 3 bronze in basketball. school has been proud host o.f.s.a.a. championships in basketball (4), volleyball (1) , golf (1).

clubs , activities

nicholson catholic college has many extra-curricular clubs , activities not involve athletics. examples of these clubs include, not limited to: games club, travel club, , badminton club. of special note games club @ nicholson, headed teacher recipient of several nationwide modelling , painting awards. involvement in school or community activity @ nicholson students earn points towards 1 of school letters. school letter recognition program attempts encourage involvement , reward participation.

student council

the ncc student council consists of group of student representatives elected student body. student council responsible organizing school wide activities, represent , advocate ncc students @ school , board levels.

ncc election processes involve assembly candidates present stand , wish if elected, means of speech and/or promotional video. gathering of students reinforces concept of democracy promotes informed votes, , element of united catholic school community.

student council members attend regular meetings of alcdsb student senate discuss board wide issues student council members each of 5 high schools. occasional student senate meetings hosted @ ncc, student senate meetings hosted alternately @ each school apart student trustee elections , other important events held @ board office.
