Eastward to Port Huron Interstate 69 in Michigan
i-94/i-69 eastbound near port huron
at durand, i-69 meets southeastern end of m-71 on northwest side of town. freeway turns sharply northeast before turning due east near lennon. interchange m-13 south of lennon marks shiawassee–genesee county line. continuing eastward, i-69 parallels miller road north far city of swartz creek; east of town, 2 roadways cross. i-69 parallels line of canadian national railway enters flint metro area. freeway intersects bristol road near bishop international airport , crosses i-75/us 23 southwest of downtown flint. i-69, railroad , swartz creek parallel downtown flint freeway intersects i-475 , m-54 (dort highway) before exiting east side of city.
i-69 runs eastward out of flint parallel railroad. @ davison, intersects m-15 before crossing lapeer county. in area, freeway traverses farmlands in southern part of region called thumb. jogs north around lake nepessing, southwest of lapeer. freeway continues through farmland imlay city, meets m-53 before crossing western st. clair county. southwest of capac, there temporary welcome center @ rest area along westbound lanes. i-69 continues eastward through interchange m-19 @ emmett.
the twin-span blue water bridge
near wadhams, i-69 curves around north follow part of black river. on east side of community, freeway turns southeast enters western edge of port huron suburbs. i-69 turns again run due eastward intersect i-94. 2 freeways merge in interchange has connections bl i-69. past interchange, freeway curves north , around east cross black river. on eastern bank, i-94/i-69 travels through 1 more interchange, 1 m-25 , bl i-69/bl i-94. past interchange, freeway crosses through toll , customs plazas twin-span blue water bridge. i-69 designation officially ends @ international boundary in middle of st. clair river connects highway 402.
