the pie pod

the used , popular pie device on show, contraption launch 4 whipped cream pies @ 1 audience member (sometimes 2 , on 1 episode, three). set in hydraulic chair , covered clear plastic tarp, leaving head exposed. chair, resembled barber s chair or antique-style dentist s chair, pumped until participant s head aligned target behind them. summers asked audience (or winning player, in case of game sends loser pie pod) how many pies should launched — 4 usual answer — , released them, following count of three. during first season, device called crowning glory suspended on participant s head. container shaped crown held small amount of pink slime. of time released if audience determined victim flinched during release of pies. however, used random occasion marc deemed warranted it, such being s birthday.

on episodes, audience member not plastic tarp protect clothes, and/or no goggles, or got safety glasses knocked right off direct hit. marc sent pie pod @ least twice during show s run. on first occasion, marc said censored word , had go pie pod result. second time, after marc chose card during medley, eat veggie split , robin decided sundae needed whipped cream , therefore sent marc pie pod.

one game played directly @ pie pod, marc interviewed member of studio audience while 60-second clock counted down. when audience member thought within 10 seconds of 60-second target, stop, , every 10 seconds out, 1 pie launched. if 60 seconds expired, 4 pies launched.

pie slide

one memorable pie slide incident featured young woman during do? medley segment opted ride pie slide headfirst rather eat twinkie gravy; when over; woman, laughing hysterically, entire body covered cream, openly wished had chosen eat twinkie gravy.

another memorable pie slide moment featured marc having audience point wanted see go down pie slide. in audience pointed marc, meant marc had go down pie slide, head first. in same episode, marc s card during medley said pie slide , tried out of saying out of time. robin made him go down pie slide anyway, although got go feet first.

the pie slide featured in first season; in second season, replaced pie coaster (see below), less messy.

pie pendulum

in 1 famous moment, contestant sent pie wash, rotated, nothing came out of pipes. while figuring out going on, marc turned , found pie pod had gone off no 1 in it. marc , crew went see going on, large burst of cream burst out, soaking girl.

pie coaster

replacing pie slide second season of show, mini roller coaster ended audience member crashing oversized pie stood on side. @ first contestant crash through paper do? banners before crashing giant pie. participant got hit multiple times rocked , forth on final dip, pie located; however, since participants required wear large helmet full-face clear shield when on pie coaster, messiness relative other devices severely limited.
