after release of avery island, neutral milk hotel became fully-fledged band, julian koster, scott spillane , jeremy barnes joined mangum, band being based in new york city. after this, moved athens, georgia, many of mangum s friends had begun settle, , elephant 6 had begun take root. after this, band went denver, record proper follow on avery island.
