transhab intended composed of 4 levels/floors.

level 4
the pressurized tunnel area intended provide passageway between transhab , vehicle attached. original tunnel design had 2 standard international space station hatches , housed critical equipment required during module expansion, such avionics , power equipment.


level 3
level 3 house exercise area treadmill , stationary bicycle. design contained complete health care system types of medical , emergency equipment , type of space bath area provided body cleansing. in addition, level contained soft stowage area identical level one.


crew health care area -- design crew health care area incorporateed 2 iss crew health care system racks, full body cleansing compartment, changing area, exercise equipment (treadmill , ergometer), partitionable area private medical exams , conferencing, earth-viewing window. earth-viewing window have been 51 centimeters (20 inches) in diameter , located near exercise area. window design had 4 panes totaling 10.2 centimeters (4 inches) thick , hard frame around each window attaches layers of shell.


stowage -- soft-sided cabinets have provided stowage spare parts, supplies, clothing , other equipment. if built, transhab have doubled stowage room available on international space station.


level 2
crew quarters -- crew quarters area design had 6 individual crew quarters, sized @ 2.3 cubic meters (81 cubic feet) of volume per crew quarter, , central passageway located within second level central core structure , water tanks. each compartment contains sleeping bag/sleep restraint, area stowing personal items, , computer entertainment center recreation , personal work.


mechanical -- mechanical room external core structure , uses half floor space. acoustically , visually isolated. other half of area clerestory above wardroom area. mechanical room consists of environmental control , life support system, power equipment , avionics equipment , provides return airflow level 1 , level 3 through openings.


level 1
the first level house kitchen refrigerator-freezer, microwave oven, water dispenser, , food preparation equipment table seats 12, enough allow entire station resident crew , replacement crew sit meetings or meals. there 3 galley racks, large wardroom table, soft stowage array , earth-viewing window identical window on level 3.
