school dances

school dances organized , run school s student council. supervision provided staff members , police ensure acceptable behavior. each dance has specific theme, voted on students list of choices compiled student council. oftentimes music provided hired dj.

school mass

once month students grades attend worship service conducted @ st. michael s catholic church across street nicholson. mass conducted father richard whalen, , purpose encourage student s spiritual development in catholic faith.

grade 9 fun day

the grade 9 fun day held once year welcome freshmen students nicholson catholic college , make them feel accepted school community. grade 9 students divided teams assigned different color, , these teams participate in wide variety of activities such tug of war, bean bag tosses, , several other games.

civvies day

civvies day s @ nicholson catholic college occur on last friday of month, , exception school s uniform policy. during these days, students encouraged wear in whatever clothes want long in keeping taste.

school spirit days

school spirit days days students can wear in clothing of choice in line specific theme. these themes decided upon student council, , these days occur part of spirit week , every day different theme related.

clothespin game

held annually student council places entire school population (staff , student alike) brackets. in contest participants receive sheet of paper opponents name on , clothespin. goal of game pin clothespin on opponent before opponent same or window of time (usually day or two) runs out. loser must sign opponents sheet enabling victor proceed next round. if neither participant pins opponent both eliminated game. game takes place; during breaks , lunch periods, on school property , washrooms off limits. game taken many people resulting in; modified clothespins, spying on enemies schedules, ambushes , intense duels . in recent years final 2 participants partake in duel in front of entire school (on stage of providence gym).

annual road race

held annually in spring, students grades compete in road race around east end of belleville near school. top female , male each year awarded names on plaque.
